The Bible teaches that God is relational. He desires a growing relationship with everyone. However, we are born separated from God because of sin. God's desire for a relationship with us is so great that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on a cross as a payment for our sin. Anyone who accepts, by faith, that Jesus Christ has died on their behalf and believes that His death alone has bridged the gap between them and God, has an eternal relationship with God the Father.
